Alpha is a hybrid acoustic panel combining the function of absorption and diffusion of sound through the use of acoustic foam and binary sequence scattering pattern made on a front-mounted plate. Thin face plate has a mathematical sequence of slots for spatial diffusion, but also allows low frequency waves to pass through to the acoustic foam for low end absorption.
Alpha acoustic panels can be used on the walls or ceiling to keep the reverberation better mixed and the room „alive”. It can also be used behind dipole speakers to round off sharp reflections.
Type: Hybrid Panel
Dimensions: 50×50 cm
Thickness: 5 cm
Absorption range: 150 Hz – 10000 Hz
Diffusion / scattering range: 700 Hz – 3000 Hz
Damping material: Acoustic foam (30kg/m3)
Front plate: 3mm stained and lacquered plywood
WaveFuser Wood panels can be mounted using different techniques depending on the surface they will be installed. Since it’s a foam based panel, spray adhesive is one of the most popular methods of installing them on the wall or ceiling. Strong double-side tape also can be used for this purpose.
Alpha acoustic panels are a combination of wide-band foam absorber and mathematically designed scatter plate. They provide a balanced sound absorption starting from 150 Hz. The perforated front plate additionally disperses the sound in the medium frequency range, which ensures improved acoustic comfort in spaces suffering from excessive noise like living rooms, home theaters and offices. Alpha panels can also be used in professional applications when low frequency absorption is not required.
